Our motion control portfolio meets your unique application needs with a broad range of servo drives, servo motors, and actuators. Actuators

MP-Series™ integrated linear motion products include linear actuators and linear stages. These products provide flexible servo control through accurate positioning and quick-building forces.

Our Bulletin LDAT Integrated Linear Thrusters provide high-speed, load-bearing linear motion out-of-the-box and are capable of pushing, pulling, or carrying a load. Our Bulletin VPAR and MPAR electric cylinders provide an integrated solution with dynamic, precise responses for a wide range of linear motion applications. These cylinders use RSLogix 5000 software to extend and retract with highly repeatable positioning, velocity, and force. Industry-standard mountings and rod-end attachments help simplify your assembly and reduce mechanical design engineering, wiring, and commissioning time.

Our Bulletin MPAI MP-Series™ Heavy Duty Electric Cylinders are compact, lightweight, high force actuators that serve as a cost-effective alternative to hydraulic solutions.   • Kinetix Integrated Motion on EtherNet/IP Servo Drives

Our Kinetix® 5500, 5700, 6500, and 350 Servo Drives connect to and operate with Logix controllers, supporting Integrated Motion on EtherNet/IP. These drives combine high-performance integrated motion with an open EtherNet/IP network. They can be part of a solution using EtherNet/IP to integrate high-performance servo and AC drives, I/O, smart actuators, and any other EtherNet/IP-connected device.

  • Encoder Output Module

Our Bulletin 2198 Encoder Output Modules synchronize devices to your integrated motion on EtherNet/IP system. It can sync to any axis of motion, real or virtual, and is ideal for use with Kinetix® and PowerFlex® drives.

  • Ultra 3000 Digital Servo Drives

Rockwell Automation announces that as of December 2022, our Bulletin 2098 Kinetix® Ultra™ 3000 Digital Servo Drives will be discontinued and no longer available for sale. To support your transition, we recommend that you migrate to one of our Bulletin 2198 Kinetix 5100, 5300, or 5500 Servo Drives.

 

Encoders

Our Absolute Encoders on EtherNet/IP connect to and operate with the Logix controllers to provide position tracking data to be used in open-loop control systems. Our Absolute Encoders are electro-mechanical devices that are useful feedback elements in closed-loop control systems. They provide position control in packaging, robotics, pick and place, lead/ball screw, rotary table positioning and component insertion applications. Our Incremental Optical Encoders provide low cost, smaller physical size, high frequency and high resolution. Our accessories help you easily install and efficiently use our encoders.

 

Absolute Encoders

Absolute Encoders retain your position data during the loss of power. They are excellent choices in systems that require a failsafe operation. Our magnetic encoders directly connect to DeviceNet™ for advanced functionality with reduced wiring cost. Our sine/cosine encoders provide absolute feedback for position control and high-resolution incremental feedback for speed control. Our Integrated Motion on EtherNet/IP encoders leverage CIP Sync, a time synchronization extension that is fully compliant with IEEE 1588. You can use our single-turn encoders for reliable readouts in harsh conditions.

Incremental Optical Encoders

Our Incremental Optical Encoders produce digital output related to the position of a rotating shaft, providing feedback elements in closed-loop control systems. You can use our encoders with external electronics, such as counters, to accumulate data to determine position, speed, and direction. Use these encoders when position retention is not required during a loss of power.

Servo Motors

Limit Switches

The Pneumatic Lifeline™ 4 Hazardous Location Switches are rope-operated pneumatic safety switches that guard exposed pneumatic machinery and conveyor equipment. These switches are immune to machine vibration.

  • Guardmaster Explosion-Proof Switches

Our Guardmaster® explosion-proof switches have sealed flameproof contact blocks, making them suitable for use in European Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous environments. They retain the safety features and operating principles of the conventional Guardmaster switches.
