A history of innovation with solid roots

SCAME PARRE S.p.A., head of the SCAME group, is a manufacturer of components and systems for electrical installations in the civil, services and industrial sectors, born and raised in the mountains of the upper Val Seriana, in the Province of Bergamo, Northern Italy.

Since 1963, the year of its foundation, in more than half a century of activity, SCAME has never betrayed the spirit of the origins made of attention to the environment and the person, as well as continuous research to provide an innovation that is never an end in itself, but which translates into total quality and real benefits for the user.

Already a pioneer in the field of the solutions dedicated to charging electric vehicles, for which it is now an absolute benchmark, the continuous search for new markets has led SCAME to develop also an articulated range of ATEX IEC-Ex products for installation in hazardous areas, without neglecting its traditional offer based on products for domestic and industrial applications, even heavy ones.

A catalogue able to meet any installation requirement, a product quality guaranteed by compliance with national and international Standards, a rapid customer service able to support every choice and a high level of service, have enabled SCAME to affirm its presence not only nationally, but also internationally through a network of 18 branches and a consolidated network of distributors in over 80 countries on 5 continents.

TERMINAL CONTAINER

Resistance is a fundamental requirement in a harsh and exhausting environment like a terminal container where sun, humidity, saltiness and temperature changes put a strain on any product.

Reliability is the same when it comes to ensuring continuity of supply to refrigerated containers, otherwise, the goods in them will deteriorate.

SCAME offers a full range of plugs and socket-outlets in 3h configuration for the supply of refrigerated containers: OPTIMA Series plugs and sockets, flush or surface mounting interlocked socket in OMNIA Series, ADVANCE2 Series of interlocked socket outlets in thermoplastic material or, ADVANCE-GRP Series of interlocked sockets in GRP thermosetting material to offer maximum resistance to shocks and atmospheric and chemical agents.

Everything can be modulated on the DOMINO distribution assemblies or MEGA Series distribution boards for the composition of combination units with extreme flexibility.

The status of the sockets can be checked remotely using the ADVANCE-GRP AMR (Automated Meter Reading) interlocked socket outlets that integrate a data logger for measuring the energy itself, load management, checking plug presence, sending alarms, etc.

CONSTRUCTION SITE

Resistance, safety and portability are what guarantee the SCAME’s distribution assemblies in a harsh environment like the construction site are, where sun, rain, dust and mud put a strain on any electrical equipment. An articulated product range starting from the MEGA series distribution assemblies for combination units of thermoplastic or thermosetting socket outlets up to 125A, continues with the transportable MBOX Series distribution assemblies, equipped with an emergency button and a comfortable automatic twilight turn-on light, ends up with DOMINO and BLOCK Series of distribution assemblies ideal for direct power supply of the apparels, thanks to the maximum mobility facilitated by the compact dimensions.

Cable reels of ROLLER Series are a valid addition and allow, thanks to the lengths of the cable, to reach every area of the construction site even the ones far away from the main distribution boards. All the ASC distribution assemblies are based on a concept of modularity to accommodate the various ranges of SCAME industrial electrical inlets and socket-outlets with or without interlocking.

To satisfy every need for customization, an analysis and estimation service is available in SCAME, capable of producing customized distribution assemblies accompanied by a relevant certificate of conformity.

ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY

The quality of SCAME products in a selection dedicated to the entertainment industry, be they outdoor concerts, arenas or theatres.

Industrial plugs and socket-outlets of the OPTIMA Series, fast to wire and shock-proof with antivibration terminals, QUICK series sturdy plugs and sockets with rubber bodies, empty enclosures or distribution assemblies from GOMMA-series, particularly resistant to mechanical stress and easy to transport.

All products are available in black colour, for safe and invisible on stage connections so as not to steal the show.

The offer is completed by-products in standard industrial grey colour, ideal for backstage or for other areas far from the stage, where invisibility is not necessary, but maximum safety and comfort of use must always be guaranteed.

HEAVY-DUTY APPLICATION

The steel industry, terminal containers, ports or mines are environments that put a strain on any material and therefore require particularly resistant and high-performance products.

For this SCAME has created OPTIMA-HD a dedicated line of mobile industrial electrical connectors up to 125A in special techno-polymers able to grant the highest mechanical (IK10) and high-temperature resistance (GW 960 °) specific for demanding work.

When the environmental conditions become extreme the best choice is the series of interlocked socket outlets ADVANCE-GRP made of GRP (Fibreglass reinforced polyester) thermosetting material that guarantees maximum impact resistance (IK 10) at temperatures between -40 and +60 ° C and fire and heat resistance (GW 960 ° C) proving to be unaffected by atmospheric and chemical agents.

OIL & GAS

The products dedicated to installations in potentially explosive atmospheres proposed by SCAME fall within the scope of the ATEX directive 2014/34/EU. Referring to the Atex classification of the environments, SCAME offers solutions for areas classified as zones 1 and 2 due to the presence of explosive gases, and to zones 21 and 22, in the case of combustible powders such as sugars, flours, etc.

The interlocked socket-outlets of the ADVANCE-GRP [GD] series and the isolators of the ISOLATORS-EX [GD] series for Zone 1 can be installed as a normal interlocked socket and a disconnector without the need for subsequent periodic checks. This is thanks to the "Ex de" increased safety method of protection, obtained through the adoption of a special non-sparking switch.

Certified “Gas and Dust” are the interlocked ADVANCE-GRP [GD] series made of thermosetting material, the OPTIMA-EX Series [GD] plugs, the ISOLATORS-EX Series [GD] switch-disconnectors and the junction boxes or control stations ZENITH-P Series. The offer includes the interlocked sockets of the ADVANCE-GRP [EX] Series, the OPTIMA-EX series plugs and the ISOLATORS [EX] Series switch-disconnectors, both in aluminium and in thermoplastic material.
